I was first introduced to the Siberian cat by a judge from Russia and this led me to where we are today. Showing and breeding with the aim to better what we began with is my ultimate goal and along the way we have introduced many pet owners to this wonderful breed of cat. Years of meticulous selection for the betterment of our cats is shown by what is now reflected in my breeding and show cats which you will see on our Kings and Queens pages on our website. The temperament of our Siberians we are now breeding is outstanding with many now returning outstanding results on the show bench and this is reflected in the winning of many top awards. Since our years of involvement with the Siberian cats and the progress in Australia I have been the leader in introducing our new breeders to this wonderful cat and the cats they now own are a testament to this. All of our cats are handled with great love and attention and this is reflected in the temperament of all the babies I place with new families. I am always available to talk to the families and love to hear how that the new special little member of their family has changed their lives for the better. High on our list of priorities is to be able to help as many families as possible become owners of a Siberian and if allergies are an issue we will work with you to help you test with either a pet owner in your area or with one of my cats here. We do not charge for this it is our personal opinion that this is unnecessary and our aim to help of the greatest priority. Should you be okay then we will add you to our waiting list.

For those interested in purchasing a Breeding Queen, we offer a contract to selected reputable registered breeders. However, we do not sell any of our males entirely. We take great pride in our breeding program, and all our breeding felines are Negative for HCM, PKD, and SMA. To secure your chosen kitten, we require a non-refundable deposit of $200, which will reserve your kitten for you when a litter is born. We breed for quality, not quantity. My name is Carol and my husband, Peter, and I breed Birmans in Canberra, Australia. We breed seal, blue, chocolate, lilac, reds and torties. We aim to produce healthy cats with good temperaments. We work with other breeders to constantly improve the quality of our Birmans. The success of Bindura Birmans has come from our love of Birmans and our committment to producing quality show standard cats with superb temperaments. We are registered with CCI which is affiliated with CCCA. I am the President of the Canberra Birman Cat Club which is the only club in Australia to hold a Birman specialist show every year in May. My love of the British Shorthair breed began in 1990 when I went to my very first cat show in Canberra. I met Irene Chandler, who at that time bred beautiful British Shorthairs under "Barcoo". My dear Mum purchased Barcoo Tarlina who was shown for many years. My parents actually purchased 4 Barcoo British Shorthair gems and all were shown. In 1994 I fell in love with a little black boy of Irene's who I could not resist, so I purchased him. My love affair with Brits commenced. Barcoo Black Bob was shown for some years but he really did not like it, so I kept the beautiful boy as a wonderful pet. I must say he was the best cat I have ever owned. I even taught him to roll over!! In 2006 I commenced my British Shorthair breeding program with a beautiful Barcoo girl named Sinead. Unfortunately, I had to stop due to ill health. I am now resurrecting my breeding program again with my little Kalame Black girl - Miss Ebony. All Queens and Sires are pre tested for genetic anomalies such as FeLv, HCM and PKD as they relate to the British Shorthair breed. They are also screened for all known transmittable diseases, therefore the parents are genetically clear and disease free cats.
