I am committed and very passionate about all of my fur family, this is a hobby not a business. I have been Registered with CatsNSW now since 2016.I love Showing and Educating people about the Ragdoll Breed since 2010, I also occasionally allow my girls to have a litter. As it is just as important to care and love your Adult cats to make sure they are happy and healthy. My kittens have been proof of beautiful and healthy parents, with the traditional Ragdoll traits including; big BLUE eyes & purrfect loving temperaments. I am a devoted Ragdoll Lover registered with Cats NSW, all breeding line cats are DNA tested for HCM & PKD. We also qualified as a "Cattery Of Excellence" with Australian National Cat Alliance - ANCATS when I was originally Registered with them for 6 years before moving to CatsNSW. Our kittens are raised in our home with their mum. Which means they are handled and accustomed to household noises, my husband and I and my entire family who visit, not to mention having our other pets which include our loving dog (who lives outside, but come in when there is a storm) who just loves all our cats when he is allowed inside after a bath :). We do not have our pets locked away in confined cages. Our Ragdolls are STRICTLY indoor only. We like quality not quantity, so we may not have kittens all year round, but may know of a reputable Breeder who has. We raise all our kittens in our house as part of our family, and each one is loved before and after they are born, and handed over to their new family to carry on what we start. We actively show our cats and kittens and adhere to the breed standard and the Code of Ethics of QFA. Because of this we carefully plan each and every litter, and breed for looks and personalities that are typical of the Ragdoll breed and what our families are looking for. Because we are located in Hervey Bay we offer FREE delivery to Brisbane and surrounds, and this includes delivery to Brisbane Airport for the babies who fly to their new homes. When you buy an Amjance Ragdoll, you are buying a Ragdoll that is everything you are looking for, and are raised to be happy kitty citizens, ready to take their place in your hearts. Breeder Questionnaire Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable). Yes All breeding cats cleared either by parentage or individual testing for HCM and PKD. I retire my girls relatively young and keep a daughter to carry on from. My queens are also health checked when their litters have their vaccination, microchip and desex. I attempt to have a litter from my girls approx 9 months apart, resulting in approx 3 litters in 2 years, which is lower than the max of my breeding organisationQuestion. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation? Yes my kittens are raised inside until approx 4 weeks old, then moved on to the patio off the dining room. There they see and hear all goings on in the house. I also have 2 small grandchildren who play with the kittens. Once kittens are vaccinated, litters are permitted to mingleQuestion. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide? Yes all kittens leave me desexed, microchipped and vaccinated twice, unless to a fellow registered breeder who also does this. I maintain contact with my buyers ensuring a smooth transition into their new homes. I provide an information booklet, with how their kitten has been raised, litter, food etc to help that as well. I also talk extensively with buyers in the lead up to my kittens leavingQuestion. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview? Yesthe main thing is investigating if they have a history of moving their kittens on quickly, or if they live long happy livesQuestion. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur. Welcome to Brindie Cornish Rex Cattery. My love of Cornish Rex started in 1999 when I saw my first litter of Cornish Rex Kittens at a show in Sydney, NSW. I fell in love instantly. At this time, I was showing a domestic cat named Kiwi and a Black British Shorthair named Barcoo Black Bob. I could not resist a Cornish Rex, so I purchased a little Blue and White boy named Charian Son of Indy. He was a gem. After showing him as a neuter for nearly 5 years encompassing travelling many states of Australia, he ended his show career at the highest accolade a cat could achieve as a member of the CCCA Governing Body. Carinya British Shorthair - At Carinya, we have a small breeding program that focusses on health and temperament first and foremost and of course on type. At Carinya British kittens are born and raised in our home and have lots of cuddles and attention. Babies are handled from birth to ensure an easy disposition. As well as the usual veterinary work, we also DNA test our breeding cats for health concerns and also heart scan annually to ensure we are breeding with the healthiest cats possible. Our cattery is also FeLV and FIV free. Vaccinations: Kittens will be vaccinated with F3 at 8 weeks and again at 12 weeks of age. They will also be wormed regularly. At around 10 weeks of age, depending on size / weight, the kittens will go to our wonderful vets at the Garden City Veterinary Clinic to be desexed and microchipped. Having bred cats for over 45 years, we have had lots of opportunity to investigate whether a totally indoor cat is as happy and well-adjusted as one that is allowed outside. Personally, I feel the cats are just as happy and content if they have a loving and caring family who spends time with them. Cats are social beings and LOVE to be made a fuss of so keep your kittens / cats safe, save the wildlife and keep them indoors.
