Camuka Golden Retrievers was established in 1991 Jane has been involved with Golden's for over 40 years, initially in her home country of NZ and now based in Ballarat Victoria. Jane has worked in the veterinary industry for many years, (as a Territory sales manager, as a vet nurse) and she was also involved in Pet education in primary schools and kindergartens. Jane has been a member of the GRCV for 30 years, and also the Victorian National Breed Representative for many years. She is passionate about responsible breeding, and helping people buy from reputable breeders. Jane is very actively involved in the breed, she manages a large Facebook support group on Golden Retriever puppies, and has recently published her first book on raising a happy healthy puppy. This guide book has been very successful Camuka is a small & select kennel we have been successful breeding and showing our Goldens. The majority of our puppies are sold as family companions, while some of our puppies have been very successful in the show ring, at obedience, and as assistance dogs. We usually have a long wait list for our puppies as we only breed several litters per year.

Although owning Dalmatians since 2001, we started our pedigree journey in 2012. Dalmatians, with their quirky and full of life personalities, are my passion and I strive to achieve the best for them as individuals and the breed. Along with conformation showing, my dogs also compete in lure coursing, rally obedience and endurance trials. The future will see the addition of trick trials, backpacking, tracking, dock diving and agility once time allows. When I have the time, I would also love to get road trials going here in Australia and ANKC recognised. I choose to compete across multiple disciplines because Dalmatians are an incredibly smart and versatile breed, plus they thrive on the engagement. At home my dogs are still dogs with the luxury of inside living at night time, but the paddocks, dam and horse rides by day. They are very much our pets first, being loved companions and a huge part of our lives. It is my goal as a Dalmatian breeder to firstly produce sound puppies with exceptional temperaments. Furthermore they must be correct to the Australian Dalmatian Standard with outstanding and correct movement, good balanced conformation, typey to my ideal and consistent throughout litters. I aim to produce both winning show dogs to carry on my lines but also fantastic family pets. We are also a breeder involved with LUA (Low Uric Acid) Dalmatians. An LUA Dalmatian carries one or two copies of the non-mutated gene, allowing them to metabolise certain proteins (purines) properly, meaning that they are free from the breed's predisposition to form uric stones in their urine, thus they can be fed freely like any other dog. Not all of our litters produce LUA pups, but we are very clear with our litter listings as to which litter have the potential and also of course which pups inherit the gene once born. LUA or not, we provide clear instructions on their care for the pup's health and well-being. All of my own dogs are extensively health tested and are only bred from if they pass all of the following; BAER (hearing), hip scored, elbow scored, DNA profiled and annually; heart (echocardiograph), thyroid and eyes. Puppies will sometimes be available, thus puppy enquiries are welcome via email ([email protected]). 'Edelevlek' is Dutch and translates to 'Noble Spot'.
